I’m almost finished with Aurora. These are the next steps.

1. Work on the vocals, using Vocaloid.
2. Making sure the sound levels are appropriate so that the vocals are heard.
3. Fine-tuning the sound leveling.
4. Mastering the track.
5. Upload.

I paid for the shipping costs and the cost of a replacement circuit board for my PCR-800 today. Hopefully when that board arrives, my keyboard will work again.

Currently, I’m working on another song and Vocaloid cover. This one isn’t a secret, so I’ll tell everyone. I’m working on Aurora, and I’m almost done. I really don’t consider myself to be even a quarter done despite having already imported all the instrument tracks to Audacity. I’m missing those backing vocals you hear during the refrain, and the fact that I can’t find any good samples is starting to get on my nerves. However, the good news is that I like how the solo came out, and I finally got the hang of Synth1, a free VST synthesizer. It’s supposed to be similar to the Clavia Nord Lead, and Hirasawa-san supposedly uses it.

I finished the surprise cover for the collaboration project. Stay tuned when I upload it.

I’ve decided to keep “unserious” things separate from this blog. This blog will be used more for music and site updates, while the other one is usually my thoughts and mood.

My copy of Interactive Live 2006 - Byakkoya came in earlier today. I decided to watch through the whole thing in one sitting, and it was a beautiful performance nonetheless. Plus, this was a better way to understand the story behind it, rather than watching scattered videos on Niconico or YouTube. It would be good if you could pick up a copy for yourself as part of your collection, as well to support the TESLAKITE independent label.

With every Hirasawa story, you’re lost in the universe that he sets forth. Throughout the story of Byakkoya, you may ask yourself “Where am I?”

The description for Byakkoya on Hirasawa’s site might be too vague, so I’ll attempt to describe it better. It’s about someone who guides Hirasawa along a journey to find the truth behind the reality he sees.

My keyboard was fixed, but it’s still broken, because it only powers on for a few seconds.

I forgot to mention some of my other projects aside from Module Revision. I’m currently collaborating with one of the users here on something we’ll release soon (Which is after I get my keyboard fixed.)

My other project is a bit of a secret that doesn’t pertain to the surprise I will have on the main page. I’ll tell you after I release it.

By the way, Susumu Hirasawa released two DVD’s: Ending Error, and PHONON2551 VISION. Get it quickly. I heard they’re liquidating them.

There will be a small semi-secret surprise on the main page that I’m working on. Stay tuned.
