Musicians and aspiring musicians, discuss your experiences here.
After noticing that a lot of people are musicians here, I thought we'd have a discussion on your musician life, as well as your instruments.
I used to have a pretty old Fender Stratocaster that's out of commission due to physical and some other damage. I also have a Yamaha MOTIF MO6 lying around somewhere. However, it is not functioning anymore. Currently, my instrument of choice is a MIDI controller; the Roland PCR-800.
I'm an electronic/electropop musician, and therefore, I'm usually chasing after vintage synthesizers. I hope to acquire one of these, based on priority.
1. Roland JD-800 or Roland JD-990
2. Roland JP-8000 or Roland JP-8080
3. Roland Jupiter 8
4. Roland D-50
For those of you who don't know, there is a strong possibility that the electronic bass sounds you hear in some songs is produced by none other than the Roland TB-303. This gained much popularity in House and Acid.
