Just wanted to know what operating systems we all use.
I'm a multi-OS user. My first OS was AmigaOS, as my first computer was the Amiga as well. Afterward, I transitioned into Windows in the 1990's, and Linux in late 2004.
Currently, I use Windows XP x64 Edition in addition to Ubuntu 9.04 "Jaunty Jackalope". As a little known fact, I do use Linux for composing music sometimes. This is a bit analogous to how Hirasawa-san uses Amiga for his music.
Here are the programs I use for music:
Software Synthesizers: -Cakewalk Rapture -Cakewalk Dimension Pro -Superwave P8
Windows: -Audacity -Cakewalk SONAR LE -OpenMPT -UTAU -YAMAHA VOCALOID
Linux: -Rosegarden -Linux Multimedia Studio -Hydrogen -TiMidity++ -Nekobee -Phosycon |

Ah, that's a nice selection of programs.
I boot both MacOSX Tiger and Windows XP on my Macbook Pro, but I primarily use Windows.
Windows: FL Studio 8 OpenMPT VOCALOID2 (Yamaha)
Mac: Logic Pro 8
Software Synthesizers: Magical 8bit Plug Superwave P8
Although this list will mostly likely grow once I start releasing my tunes. |

I use Windows XP Media Center Edition for my desktop, and Eeebuntu 3.0 for my netbook. And I don't use musical programs because I...don't know how. I don't even know how to play my guitar. I'm more of a visual artist type for now.
And kenjeh, I thought you were around my age (17). It looks like you're a lot older than that. |
